The first rule of recognition is simply to do it
Course correction is part of a leader’s job, but it’s not the only part
Make it a habit of catching people doing things right and give sincere recognition for it
Be careful to recognize the things that you want to continue through your whole organization
Whatever you give recognition for will grow
Catching someone doing something right and recognizing them, it may be as simple as a nod or smile. Any one-on-one praise can be effective, but recognition in front of others is even more powerful
