We have the ability to impact our own state. There are three main patters that when we focus on them and put an effort into acting intentionally with them, we can change our state.

1. Pattern of Physiology – the way we use our body. We can change our state simply by changing the way we move and our posture.

2. The Language We Use – Our language can magnify or lower the intensity of our state. This includes the language we use with others &/or the language we use with ourselves (self-talk). 3. Focus & Belief – What you focus on and what you believe it means. You cannot keep feeding the thing you want to change by focusing on it and expect it to change. Whatever you focus on, you’ll get. If you are dealing with anxiety, the more you focus on it, it’s not going to go away.

Make a decision now that you will take control of these three things. Without making the decision, it won’t happen because when you are in the middle of it all, it’s not easy to say that you are going to change your physiology, your language, or your focus. You have to make that decision now, before you are in that state.
