Winning: The Unforgiving Race to Greatness by Tim S. Grover - https://amzn.to/3z7YEZN

“The fact is: Winning requires selfishness. Winners don’t care what you think. They know how to say no and feel good about it. They have no problem ending a business meeting after ninety seconds because they’ve heard enough. They don’t pretend to like an idea just to make others feel good. They never commit to anything unless they see a benefit to themselves or their goals. Their time and agenda is their top priority.”

“Winners don’t need to be liked. They just need those results, and if they achieve them, they don’t regret being what you consider ‘selfish’”

Selfishness requires you to stand by your choices and be courageous about the backlash.

Results matter…

When you truly want the end result, those things are no longer a choice. They are a necessity.

Selfish Loser: takes from everyone, doesn’t know how to use what he’s taken, and no one benefits, including the loser.

Selfish Winner:

- Ability to focus on yourself, for all the right reasons

- Give to themselves so they can ultimately give to others

- They give themselves confidence, courage, clarity

- They give themselves time and space and focus; they give themselves the freedom to win

- They know when to put themselves first, and they don’t feel bad about that, because their success fuels everyone around them

You can’t create your own wins without prioritizing your own goals and dreams
