September is Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month, and we are honoring that by featuring some incredible mental health advocates throughout the month. These episodes are going to be a bit longer than normal, but also packed with some really good content. Today we are featuring McKenzie Maag and Nicole Steinhagen. These two ladies have lots of experience dealing with their own mental health disorders as well as helping and coping with loved ones with mental health disorders. Topics in this episode include PTSD, loss of family members to suicide, and proper response to someone reaching out.
I hope you find this podcast episode informational and helpful if you are struggling with mental health issues or if a loved one is struggling. These are good resources for anyone, but especially our servicemen and women as we work to bring those suicide rates down.
