One of the lesser-known towns in the state of Delaware is Smyrna, located in Kent County.

With a population of just over 11,000 people, it may not be the largest town in the state,

but it has a rich history that is worth exploring. From its early days as a trading center

to its later role in the Civil War, Smyrna has played an important role in the development

of Delaware and the United States as a whole.
