In this podcast we're talking about blind skills auditions with Lauren Zalut, Director of Education and Tour Programs and Matthew Murphy, Core Programs Supervisor at the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site.
We were introduced to Eastern State Penitentiary by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) as part of the Future Lab Project.
The goal of our collaboration with the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site was to evaluate if Blind Skills Auditions can mitigate implicit bias in the hiring process at museums.
This podcast discusses the experiences of the two hiring managers involved in the process and their outcomes.
Lots of great insight on hiring from two seasoned museum professionals!
