Come now tell me –
What would He –
My beloved,
My Jesus be?
If He went around
disguised as me?
Would He feed the hungry?
Would He Raise the Dead?
Would He cede the mighty?
Would He Salt the bread?
What would He do,
Dressed in my disguise?
What would He see,
Looking through my eyes?
How would He respond
To my morning alarm?
What would He do,
Even just one day long?
How differently would He walk -
Through this wild world than me?
Fully in his sonship,
Free as free can be –
Why not me?
If He could live inside me,
For even just a single day,
What wisdom would He whisper?
To keep the devils checked
And at bay.
Why do I only imagine?
What If He lived in me?
Isn’t that the message of Salvation?
Gods own ransom fee –
Paid for my freedom,
Paid for my liberty.
Not just mine alone,
But everyone –
Every. Single. One.
Bought and paid for
By the Blood
Of Gods own Living Son.
So, take your Sonship seriously,
You are the inheritor, receiver,
To be fathered and eternally loved,
By the perfect patient teacher.
