I give my heart away to the training,
Of my sovereign and my Lord,
The One whose truest home and kingdom,
Is another dimension, far abroad
A second horizon on top of the first,
A higher dimension than that of the Earth,
A noble vista to comfort, the stark reality of our birth.
How marvelous are our faculties?
The inner world can reveal,
The light with which the furnace blaze,
Yet burning in its brilliance,
In modesty conceals –
That lesser eyes should not
Behold it, until first the soul be healed.
Then to glimpse but sweetly,
Some savored certainty unsealed,
The truths of all eternity,
Made understandable and real.
Press on then, in your inner world,
Seek dignity and grace,
And slowly turn to live,
By the light of true loves face.
Within you lie the mysteries,
Within you every clue,
Obscured by foul obscenities
And ruined by evils rule
Run then wicked thoughts away
Refuse to partake in this demise,
And see what a pure mind can bring forth,
And look with opened eyes.
See then the wonders of eternity,
With plain old human eyes
Understand some of the wonder
That before escaped your tries,
Brilliant causeways of forever,
wherein stars to
dip and rise.
Hallowed pathways of forever,
The wisdom of the wise.
