Thank you for precious late night coffees,

with beloved ones now deceased...

I absentmindedly made...

Thank you for every color,

I can remember, and now with me, forever, stays.

Thank you for the heart breaks,

That have made me softer with my tears -

Thank you for not always giving me what I wanted,

Thank you for giving me so many years.

Thank you for the comfort I have received,

When my heart was downcast, locked in grief,

Thank you for the friends like these,

Who make me smile again, as if with ease.

Thank you for the unexpected arrivals,

Of friends, of foes, and choice -

Oh Lord, I thank you for my voice...

Thank you for songs and rainstorms and kitchen frogs,

Thank you for mulberries and bicycles, and puppy dogs.

For all the beauty I've ever seen,

Is from your storehouse of light, oh King...

I am in awe of how much you've done already for me,

Oh my beloved, my heart can only but sing...

I could never list all the beauty I see,

I can only be still, and remain, contented then with Thee.
