Beware the power in your tongue,
The power to bless.
The power to curse.
What you declare within some hour,
You nevertheless disperse as you converse.
Some throw away curse like
“Damn him! May he never know peace!”
Can curse a whole family line,
For generations!
Until released.
Some simple blessing like
“Bless her! Bless her heart with love.”
Can stir all of creation,
And move the Lord thereof.
You don’t need to know some Voodoo,
You don’t need to know some spell,
To call down a curse to devalue,
Distill poisonous words that make others unwell.
You can enact a curse with your casual racism,
With your false pride you can cause much ill…
You can curse with your envy and sexism,
By the unhealthy use of your will.
With your words you can curse your country,
Your leaders, your teachers, yourself…
Your words are indeed your infantry,
The sum of your hearts true wealth…
So, examine your life and your family,
Are there any generational curses there?
If you should notice and see them,
Don’t despair, you were unaware.
First, get yourself right with the Lord,
Repent and try to do right –
And pray then for the healing,
The entering in of the blessed good light.
Believe it now and receive it!
By the blood of the Lamb, be free!
He died to give us this asurity,
His Fathers own guarantee.
Pray then for your family –
Your parents and your kids –
For all the Good that God allows,
And against all the Evil He forbids.
