If you have a hunger to punish the wicked,
But understand you cannot be so cruel,

To put curses or spells on your foes…
You do not need to hire Thugs,
To give them heavy harsh blows…
These people who’ve hurt you, these mockers,
Who think Hope and Faith are not real,
These people who’ve tormented you,
And never cared, how they’ve made you feel…
The best revenge, is to pray for them,
That they’ll find the right Good Way,
For there is nothing harder or more painful,
Than true contrition, that burns night and day.
These people, who think love is easy…
These mockers who call forgiveness cheap…
But this road is very narrow,
and the climbing, very steep…
If you want your tormentor to suffer,
Pray they’ll repent, and try -
For no ocean can hold all the tears then
A true sinner in repentance does cry.
