This week the siblings discuss episode two The Idea of the North. In this episode we talk a lot about Mrs Coulter and find more empathy for her than expected. We talk a lot about trauma, being a powerful woman in a field of seemingly all men, and what shame and hurt can do to your relationship with yourself (or your daemon). Caleb mispronounces a bunch of names and starts his theory that Mrs. Coulter’s monkey daemon is actually a human assistant she turned into a monkey, with magic I guess. So yea I guess you could say we cover a lot of ground here.
