As followers of Jesus, we focus our hearts on the task of ‘waiting’ during Advent, not because it makes the joy of Christmas even more joyful or exciting, but because it reminds us that there once was a world desperately awaiting the fulfillment of a promise.
In Psalm 72 King David spoke some of His last words in the form of a blessing on his son Solomon, looking forward with expectation and hope that Solomon would be the promised king that would fulfill the promises God first gave to Abraham.
Solomon was not that king, but Jesus was. Join us as we step into the shoes of those who waited for the coming of the King of Kings, for it is HE who can fulfill our hope, fuel our love, establish us in joy, and bring us everlasting peace.in
In this broken world, we await the unbreaking of all things, when the King will return to set things right once and for all.
The Messiah came, and will come, for Those Who Wait!
