For this session I’m going to NAME, CLAIM, AND AIM for the DEVELOPER theme. I’ll be using the Signature Themes Report and the Strengths Insights Report.
So what is Developer? People exceptionally talented in the Developer Theme recognize and cultivate the potential in others. They spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from evidence of progress.
So let’s NAME IT What words or phrases in this theme description resonate strongly with you? Since It have developer, I have chosen POTENTIAL IN OTHERS, GROWTH, NEW BEHAVIOR, and ENCOURAGEMENT. When I name myself as a DEVELOPER, I think about how that helps me SEE POTENTIAL IN OTHERS, SUPPORT THEIR GROWTH, RECOGNIZE THEIR NEW BEHAVIOR, AND CONTINUE TO ENCOURAGE THEM.
Now let’s CLAIM IT! When has this theme helped you be successful in your past? I can reflect back that my DEVELOPER helped me to grow managers into directors and it also helped me teach two young women that I mentor how to drive.
How does this theme help you be successful in your role? My DEVELOPER helps me lead my team and it helps me coach clients like you through your goals.
Now that we’ve NAMED IT and now that we’ve CLAIMED IT, let's AIM IT! In what two ways could you start using this theme more intentionally tomorrow? I can post an encouraging post on one of my social media accounts or I can listen to someone about their goals and their progress on those goals, aiming my DEVELOPER theme toward them.
