FAILURE

When have you felt like a failure?

I think as a human, it’s a natural thing to feel like this more than once over a lifetime, and often many times.

The degree of this feeling varies but ultimately what we are feeling if a sense that we are not good enough in some way.

I have been in conversations with thousands of people in my lifetime that feel like this.

And while I want to say it’s a normal part of life, there is also a new perspective on failure that I want to invite you to hear today that may lift you from any heaviness that your sense of failure is  bringing you.

One of the most common things I hear behind the story of failure is that the failure becomes personal. It becomes about the person and not the event.

You become the failure. You are the failure.

Rather than – I  failed at that, or that didn’t go the way I expected.

This sense of BEING the failure can send you into a downward spiral fast and along the way you collect the apparent failures and downfalls of all the other times you felt the same and the big melting pot of mud you get stuck in becomes so heavy you cannot find a way up. So, you become a failure. THE failure.

In this episode I give you an exercise to do to take you out of the feeling of BEING a failure, and seeing the blessings of the failed experience.
