This week we are Kush Chatting with Marilyn Le who was born as a “miracle baby” when her (at the time) 60 year old father and 50 year old mother had her despite doctors insisting against it. Throughout her life she’s always wanted to pursue music but couldn’t due to financial restraints - her parents needed her to get a “real” job to help them. She went to college and studied science, on track to finish her PhD and marry a nice man - but then she woke up one day and decided she didn’t want any of that. Sometime later, she sold everything she had and lived out of her car while she traveled around the US trying to “find herself.” She planned to travel the world but then the pandemic hit. That’s when she decided she needed to put her energy into something she cared about, which was music. She is just getting started and excited to see where things go!
