Celaena takes a day trip to honor the memory of her parents. While out in the wilderness, we get a pretty gruesome reminder of her time in Endovier and her deadly skills. When she gets back, Chaol is there to provide comfort and chocolate cake. Meanwhile, Dorian is frantically searching the library for any hints regarding his magical lineage. We get a brief history lesson on the Fae, magical affinities and the founders of Adarlan. Celaena throws Chaol a sweet birthday party before spilling the beans on her nighttime activities.
