For my first episode, I sat down with the visionary, up and coming Producer, Singer, Song Writer and Rapper Ayoba last year. He is a British born, Nigerian recording artist, based in London.
Ayoba grew up listening to Sunny Ade, Fela, The Fugees, Michael Jackson, Andre 3000, Ghetts etc. His interest in making music began at the young age of 10, Influenced by everything the world had to offer, Ayoba’s sound is also a fusion of genres - Afrobeat, Trap, R&B, Grime, Hip Hop, Soul, classical.
His artistry will take you to the motherland and bring you back to the cusp of western culture in a way that can only be attained and understood in these times where everything and everyone is merging and connecting.
