Human nature is an extraordinary thing and what you will hear over the next hour is proof of that. This is quite a heavy episode as Bernie recalls what it was like to be a child growing up in the depression. The unimaginable horrors that came with having no money and the treatment received from others. Yet amongst it all was the unwavering love within her family. This won't leave you with a warm feeling but it may leave you a renewed sense of gratitude for what you do have and the times in which we live. I know it certainly did that for me.
