Paul says as the body of Christ we are one body, but many members. Your members which include your arms, legs and eyes are connected to the body. They not only support the body but continue to grow with the body. If a part of the body is disconnected, you cut off its ability to function because it is separated from the source of its life, because things grow best and properly when they are in relationship or connected.
