Welcome to the next episode of "Into the Mirror". This morning has been a good morning full of love and great discussions of triggers and phobias. Brody shares a car phobia and we both fear being trapped in a pink dress. Well, maybe? haha. Through addiction and healing you learn about triggers but how do they apply when the drugs are gone? Well, if you're human they probably apply a great deal more. What do I mean? Well when you learn about yourself through addiction you learn about patterns and triggers. You learn how we follow consistent patterns sometimes with noticeable triggers but most of the time we don't see our real inner workings until we are sober or off of our substance for 6 months to a year of abstinence? As you wake up it's super important to see what you are triggered by and what you're scared of and how to look at it and no longer let fear rule you.

How do we stop the "Christmas tree light effect" of the brain. How do we stop the chain of brain matter from re-activating like those lights? We talk about how we will always follow the path of least resistance unless we make active conscious effort to change the path. What that means is the brain has memory and the old patterns that have been reinforced for a long time don't just totally disappear right away and you can turn the whole 100 Christmas tree lights back on by putting just one bulb back into it.  To put it simply one drink or one whatever is enough and this is why we must learn that we are creators. We don't run from our problems we use that same energy to create solutions.
