Welcome back to Da Doe Spot! We are still in our "Home State"/ Carolina Pride series and I'm feeling homesick! Originally recorded in August 2024 (scheduled nearly two years ago), I'm finally joined by one of my very best friends and brothers, Coach Patrick Paul of Florence, South Carolina. He is an Air Force vet, author, coach, teacher/educator, Omega Psi Phi member, community leader, advocate, brother, son, uncle and most importantly, a friend. Paul and I go back to at least early high school years! Although we have lived across town from each other growing up and were stationed on completely different sides of the country during our military tenures, we have remained in good company and this convo is just an extension of what we always discuss.
We took it easy today but attempted to respectfully address the current state of the city and grew up in but sometimes feel we have outgrown. It's all love! We just want others to do better and experience more, even if that's not what they want...Gonna leave the rest for your listening pleasures.
