Prior to becoming the President of Pirates, Williams was the President of Business Operations for the NHL’s New York Islanders and was the COO of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Penguins won 3 Stanley Cup championships in the 10 years Williams worked for the organization.
Before entering the professional sports industry, Williams was a partner at the law firm Reed Smith LLP. He grew up in Indianapolis is a graduate of Penn State University and received a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University.
