Today I was delighted to be joined by best selling author Lissa Oliver, was great talking to Lissa all about her writing. Big thanks to everyone for tuning into the podcast.
Lissa Oliver is an award-winning Kildare journalist specialising in welfare for the horseracing industry, for both equine and participant health and well-being, her works published by the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association and Irish and European Racehorse Trainers’ Associations, among others.
She is also a novelist, her first published novel, multi-award nominated Nero – The Last Caesar, is a factual drama based on first century biographies of the Roman emperor Nero. She has four horseracing crime thrillers published by Maverick House, Grey Motive, a cosy crime mystery introducing Inspector de Freitas, Chantilly Dawns, a No.1 Bestseller on Amazon in March 2019, the dark psychological thriller Sainte Bastien, and the Silver Dagger nominee Gala Day.
As well as being a past Chairman of the Irish Writers Union, Lissa is on the Board of Directors of the Irish Writers Centre and on the Board of Directors of the Irish Copyright Licensing Agency. She also teaches Creative writing part-time for the ETB transformative community education. Any spare time is spent with her spoilt-rotten animal family and at punk gatherings.
