Welcome to another episode of my podcast. Today I spoke to another great Author Nicola Catton.
Nicola is a new author, publishing her book in December 2022. She has lived in Newham for most of my life and was born, studied and worked here. She is also a qualified school teacher and worked in special education for the ten years of her twenty year career.
Nicola self published her first book The Launderette Kid after nearly ten years of thinking about it. It’s a book about a young boy who thinks of himself as some sort of superhero in the community. She wanted to write to encourage young writers to get writing, get creative and develop their descriptive writing skills.
