I am Heath Stone, a Type 1 Uncommon Diabetic, health mentor and founder of Uncommon Diabetic Solutions Inc... I have been living with Type 1 diabetes for almost 30 years.
I was living as a police officer and athlete when my life was changed with my diagnosis, when I woke up in a hospital bed. Like many of you, my Diabetes changed my life and frankly I struggled for years trying to adjust.
*I felt isolated and alone
*I didn’t have the education and support I needed
*I felt exhausted and sick
*I lost my fitness
*I put on weight
*I felt angry, depressed and anxious
I knew I needed to find a better solution. I am a pretty determined person and I began my journey to health by literally travelling the world and meeting with dozens of experts for answers to my diabetes challenges. It took a me a decade but I went from being miserable and sick, to being happy, fit and healthy. I am now living an uncommon Diabetic life, full of energy health and performance. From barely surviving to thriving.
From this journey I have discovered that it all comes down to building life’s foundations on the what I call the 4 Pillars of Diabetic Health.
