Whew! What a day in the NBA. Started with Harden's trip to the strip club and ended with buzzer beaters, blowouts and crazy stat lines. Here are some instant reactions for the day:
Boring Picks Rule- sometimes old boring friends are just better
Kyle Lowry- 18p/10a/4 3s // Eric Bledsoe- 18p/2r/6a/4 3s// Larry Nance-13p/13r/8a/3s/2b!!//Khris Middleton-27p/14r/8a // Terrence Ross- 19p/ 3 3s
and of course- Terry Rozier who had the stat of the night with 42 pts and 10 3s!!!
In fantasy, it doesn't matter if the player is the sexy pick, it's the stats that matter. All these players were under drafted. Ross always end up in the top 100 but ended up undrafted in many of my leagues. Nance was top 80 last year although Love was injured but falling to 120s was criminally low. And Lowry at 40s, Middleton at late 30s? Insane values.
Rising Sophomores
Darius Garland and RJ Barrett were panned last year but they look different this year. Garland hit 4 3s and had 6 assts, RJ Barrett shot 10/13 FG and although he won't shoot this well always, I think he will be better in fantasy that we all thought. Keldon Johnson continued his bubble level play and started. Of course, Ja Morant was Ja Morant- 44 pts and lots of highlight plays.
