Description

This week’s episode is with Christine Lampe from San Francisco. Christine is born and raised in the Bay and works as a math teacher at her former high school. She fell in love with running in college and knew at the finish line of her first race that her love for running would guide her life.
In this episode, we discuss how Christine’s training has adapted during the pandemic, how her trip to a training camp in Iten, Kenya unlocked running and personal potential, and her goals to continuously improve. Some highlights from our conversation:

Chasing a personal best in the mile

How training with SFRCC and Oiselle Volee pushes her and keeps things fun

Why getting older has made her brave

How math is like running

Trusting your training on race day

Doing core workouts next to Mary Keitany in Kenya
