This week’s episode is with Cole Manley. Cole is a Masters and PhD student at UC Davis studying the history of social movements for racial and economic justice in the United States. Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, Cole created the Marathon to Justice project, a blog designed to help build communities of politically-active and historically-conscious runners.
Cole was born in SF and spent much of his childhood in Palo Alto before moving to the East Coast for High School. He made his way back to the Bay as an undergraduate at Stanford. Cole’s father, John Manley, was a beloved Stanford Professor and Political Scientist, who inspired Cole’s pursuits in social and economic justice.
