Coach Danielle is back on for another nutrition episode! In this episode we're going to discuss how to handle your cravings, different approaches in doing so, and what to do when you get off track to minimize the damage. We strive for sustainability, which means not over-limiting yourself to the point that you'll eventually crash and burn. Coach Danielle has 3 options for handling those cravings in a healthy way:
1. Find a healthier substitute- Satisfy the craving without calorically derailing yourself. Find a non-negotiable (Coach Danielle's is ice cream) and then choose a healthier option that you still love (i.e. Halo Top!)
2. Tell Yourself No- There are times to say no. You can't indulge every day, and it's good to teach yourself self control when it's best to say no.
3. Indulge- There are times such as holidays or events where it's ok to let yourself enjoy the not-so-healthy options in front of you! Try not to over-indulge or walk away over-stuffed, but remember that you can always get right back on track the next meal.
