Description

A little bonus episode for your weekend! Charlie discusses what she's learned while foraging for food in the Minnesota springtime from morels to fiddleheads to ramps. I hope this makes you want to get curious about your natural spaces and get exploring! (Always be safe when foraging, use proper identification tools and use safe preparation when consuming)

Some of the field guides I recommend are the National Audubon Society for mushrooms, birds or trees or The Peterson Field Guides, they have one on wild edibles. I also own 2 guides by Teresa Marrone which are more basic but super easy to use. Other references you can use are the Minnesota Naturalist and Minnesota Foraging pages on Facebook or exploreminnesota.com.
