QUOTABLES

Ximena: "I think at the beginning, I did have burnout, at the beginning of homeschool because I was the type... I was still new to homeschooling and I was the type that had so many things planned and I wanted everything to run perfectly. And so I did run out of gas pretty easily because I was working so hard, just doing overboard stuff."

Ximena: "do realize that it takes a couple of months for you to get the hang of things and to really figure out what will work for that year. So you got to give yourself that amount of time without the stress of having to have it all together because that will burn you out rather quickly."

Ximena: "...feelings of burnout are not necessarily reasons why you should not homeschool, right? Because feelings come and go, and there are just maybe some minor tweaks and adjustments that you need to make in your homeschool in order to avoid [quitting]."

DeeDee: "You have to say goodbye to the perfectionist that's living inside of you."

DeeDee: "You're not alone. And if you're feeling burned out, it's okay to stop and reset."
