Colossians 2:7 declares that we are abounding in thanksgiving. In Psalm 107:21, (ESV), it says to let us thank the Lord for His steadfast love. The Hebrew word for thanksgiving holds three specifics in its definition. It means to not only be in thanksgiving, but to praise, and have our confession be of Him and His word. It reveals we are to have an attitude of gratitude, as we offer Him thanksgiving. We are to offer our worship and praise individually and in a congregation of worshipers, and we are to show our adoration through our confession of His word, His blessing, and His promises. As we embrace His Spirit of thanksgiving, we will experience the flow of God as a River, and as a flower coming to full bloom.
