Every now and then a film comes along that demands your attention with its ability to connect into what it means to be human. This week The Movie Calendar dives into a film that exemplifies this notion. Based off the play “In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue”, MOONLIGHT tells the story of a young African-American man named Chiron who struggles with his identity and sexuality in a tough neighbourhood in Miami. His struggles and development are told during 3 important chapters in his life: childhood, adolescence, young adulthood.
