In late February, Pixar made the decision to release two animated shorts created by Asian Americans to stand in solidarity with Asian and Asian American communities. After watching Wind and Float, Connie and Jenny discuss their first impressions and their larger takeaways after doing research into the meanings and inspirations that led to these creations. This episode also addresses the importance of representation in media and the magic of how cultural messages can transcend those borders, touch each person uniquely, and allow us to build a more empathetic society.
