It was great to talk to James Coppinger who currently plays for Doncaster Rovers. It's amazing to think that he is still playing professional football at the age of 39.
It's safe to say that James has had a successful career and has already made the steps towards making the transition away from football.
James is currently the Managing Director at Kixx which is a coaching academy for kids, he's also a Director at Pro Mindset which is a mentoring service that is geared towards helping players perform better by accessing there psyche. James is also a Co-Founder at The Zenic Group which is a company that buys other businesses. I love seeing former/current athletes dabble in other industries.
During this chat we spoke a lot about his pending retirement from football, his development as an aspiring footballer growing up and also his thoughts on the mindset of athletes today and in the future.
