A conversation with Leon Lloyd who’s a former Rugby Union player that played for England, Leicester Tigers and Gloucester.
Leon now runs a successful charity based company called Switch The Play Foundation which is dedicated to helping athletes develop their life outside of sport. The work they do is amazing and I only wish this service was available when I was an athlete.
It was interesting to hear about how Leon was involved in quite a lot of business ventures during his rugby career - one offering a concierge services rugby players. We also discussed his time at Leicester Tigers, playing for England and how his career was cut short through injury at Gloucester.
Leon has transitioned out of sport and is enjoying a successful career in business. He explains how he used his transferable skills to make the transition a little easier.
