Description

Rev. Riana Shaw Robinson guest preaches for us on the parable of the weeds, inviting us to wrestle with difficult texts and name our feelings with challenging teachings of Jesus. What might the parable of the weeds teach us about asking hard questions? And how might God be expanding our understanding of goodness as we face the reality of the harmful and the helpful living in close relationship to each other?

Riana (she/her) is a preacher, pastor, and prophet who is passionate about speaking the truth in love, offering a constant invitation for people to see themselves as beloved, and providing various ways to respond to the command to love God, self, and neighbor. She is a mom of 4, East Bay Native, Oakland resident, and Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Reformed Church in America currently serving with Miriam Song's Church, which centers the healing, wholeness, and flourishing of women of color guided by the divine liberation embodied in the person of Jesus.
