Like many senior teams that have had success in the ‘A’ provincial play downs, the Shellbrook Elks thought they had what it took to take a run at the Allan Cup. For three of four seasons from 2013 to 2017. the Elks would make a run to the Allan Cup competing in the prestigious tournament one time. In this twirl we find out what it took to be a successful AAA team, and the changes they made from season to season to try and reach the pinnacle of senior hockey.
