Lessons from the Field engages staff members from the Austin Independent School District about teaching and learning in our community. Discussions focus on various education topics and how they impact and empower teachers and students.
Yadi Landaverde grew up in the Valley and has three children that she enjoys spending time with and who keep her busy. One of her passions is advocating for dual language and equity in her classroom and or school. Jocelin Aguilar was born and raised in the border town of Laredo, Tx. She loves her roots but is enjoying the new adventures Austin and teaching has to offer. Santiago Tobajas-Herrera (@santitobajas) has a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a Major in Second or other Languages Acquisition and a Masters in Bilingual Education. He has eleven years of experience as an educator, curriculum writer as well as a trainer of educators. He is one of four brothers, passionate about life, and inspired by our differences and enthusiastic about continuously growing.
