You must understand that the devil hates you and anyone else who pledges their allegiance to Christ. He will use any wrongdoing and unconfessed sin to block the blessings God wants to give you. The devil is also known as the accuser of the brethren who stands before God to accuse the saints.
Some people give the devil easy ammunition to fight against them because of their wayward lifestyles. *This is why you should work out your salvation on a daily basis.*
*6. “We must know how to cleanse our bloodlines consistently so that we can take up our authority in the courts of Heaven without fear of backlash.” ~ Robert Henderson*
Some of life’s bondage is a result of generational iniquity that comes through family bloodlines. In the book of Nehemiah 1, Nehemiah repented not just for the people’s sins but also for their forefathers. As they sought to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem he realized that it was important to address those sins to be successful.
Even though they faced opposition to the work of rebuilding the walls, they ultimately prospered in that endeavor.
*They had repented of their sins and therefore had the legal right to see it accomplished. You must know that iniquities have an effect up to the third and fourth generations. Every family contends with some kind of iniquity and it requires someone to stand in the gap for the family.*

Remember that God is true to His word and will not violate it to fulfil your desires. If you’re not abiding by godly principles it doesn’t matter how much you pray, because your prayers won’t be answered. As an example, the Bible says that faith without works is dead in James 2.
According to that passage of scripture, if you’re not putting effort into your dreams, they won’t magically come to fruition. Being a follower of Christ doesn’t exempt you from following principles like every other person.
In fact, as a follower of Christ, you must embody those principles with a greater level of excellence than non-believers ]]]]
