Description

Characters in the American Dream play are mommy, daddy,
Grandma, Mrs Barker, The young man.

This play shows the absurdity of The American life standards and hypocrisy about its developed and settled life.

But underneath, there is violence, lack of empathy and sympathy, unsatisfaction, crude individualism, mental confusion, and hard realities of modern life.

Absurd things happen again and again the house where these characters live as if they are strangers.

Mommy has a dominating posture and behaviour.

Daddy follows silently every task imposed on him by his wife.

Grandma appears to be tired of her life with her memories.

Mrs Barker is an intruder and an uninvited guest to the Mommy, daddy house.

A young in the end of the play seems to be like the American Dream

Showing the modern life of the Americans appearing to be satisfied with everything.

That is fake life and it seems the life is totally absurd in the US.

So the American Dream seems to be only a dream, not a reality.

This play depicts the families undergoing boring lives amidst the race of career, progress, status, and most satisfactory life.
