Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon are often called the ‘Books of Wisdom’. And indeed they a repository of wisdom. They are however, also books filled with every color and hue of human emotion. From the down to earth ‘practicality’ of Proverbs to the pathos of Job wrestling with his very human suffering to the philosophical examination of our purpose on Earth explored in Ecclesiastes— these books are the most ‘human’ books of the Bible. (And of course, the language in Song of Solomon that might make your mother blush). Probe the wisdom of God shown through the affairs of men as we jump into Episode 17– THE BOOKS OF WISDOM (Part #1).
