The Book of Numbers — Episode #69
The Key to the book of Numbers is CENSUS. Both at the beginning and the end of the book, God asks Moses to take a census… to count the number of men age 20 and over. Between the two ‘countings’ is 40 years of triumphs and failures by God’s people. Through it all, however, is the powerful Priestly Blessing— as power today as when the Priests spoke it over this new Nation. ‘The Lord Bless you and keep you… make his face to shine upon you… and give you peace’!
