The Books of 1 and 2 Peter

When it comes to 'amazing experiences' no one can top Simon Peter. He walked with Jesus from early on in his ministry... say untold miracles,,, was the only human ever to 'walk on water'... stood on a mountain top with Moses and Elijah as the Glory of God turned the scene to radiant light and the Voice of God spoke over Jesus as 'my son with whom I am well pleased'. WOW! And then, Peter is the first one to enter the empty tomb and with EYEWITNESS integrity proclaim 'He is not here. He is Risen! However, the books of 1 and 2 Peter are not about the experiences he personally experienced, but the Authority and Trustworthiness of the SCRIPTURE. It is the Scripture that is our foundation of faith. And as an personal eyewitness, Peter says we can Believe it is true.
