Your diet could blind you

It’s not just your weight that takes a hit if you eat fried foods, processed meats, full-fat dairy and refined grains, you also triple the risk of developing macular degeneration, a condition that could leave you legally blind.  Years after consistently eating large quantities of these unhealthy foods, you may suddenly find yourself with late stage macular degeneration and there’s no treatment.  Have your eyes checked regularly and if you’re in the initial stages, talk with your doctor about a diet that will reduce the worsening effects.  It’s likely that your doctor has scolded you already about your weight and stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes and heart conditions.  You ignored the warnings because you’re not having any problems.  “I feel fine!”, you say, but once you hear you might be going blind, you’ll pay attention.  We can only hope it’s not too late.
