When should you say, “I love you”?
It’s just so awkward, trying to figure out when to say, “I love you”. Do you wait for the other person to “go first” or do you leap right in? The advice is both common and conflicting. Some say to wait at least 5 dates or 2 months or when you’re absolutely bursting. The issue isn’t of timing, but of time. You should say it when you feel it. Profound love needs time to develop, but you have to start somewhere, right? Profound love requires shared experiences and events, thousands of acts of nurturing, just the sheer amount of time that you spend together. Actions speak louder than words. What matters is how profound the love is and not who says it first. Men tend to say it first while women are reserved. If you’re not sure, take your time, then, take your emotional temperature to determine if these feelings will grow or if someone else is in your heart.
