All it takes is 11 minutes

Do you get that itch for a drink?  Trying to cut back, but just can’t get past that itch?  There might be an answer for you.  An 11-minute mindfulness session may help you to overcome that temporary distress.  By moving past the period when the craving hits, those bouts of heavy drinking, which often lead to alcoholism, can be checked.  Practicing mindfulness will likely give you the power to make intentional choices instead of automatically reaching for a drink when you feel the craving.  The benefits of this kind of intervention are seen quickly.  First, you respond positively to your self-restraint and secondly, you come to understand that this brief intervention can help you to cut back which will improve your health.  At the very least, it may slow your race toward chronic alcoholism.
