Topic - Body Language.  There’s a lot more to communicating than words.

Nonverbal communications may express more than you know and perhaps more than you want others to know.

During interactions, 93% of our attention is focused on body language and voice.  We rely on these observations because they may have actually been our first communication.

Body language matters.  If you have straight posture, solid eye contact, a smile, have a moderate to low voice, speak slowly and clearly and use purposeful and deliberate gestures, you will be seen as more attractive and your message will be heard.

If your body language is out of alignment with the message, people may be confused or not believe you.

Children are very keen observers of nonverbal communication.  Don’t stand over them.  It emphasizes your power over theirs.  Make sure you have their attention and help them to be a meaningful part of the conversation.
