Topic - Small Corrections.  At the end of the movie, 6 Days, 7 Nights, the characters Quinn and Robin were escaping pirates in a damaged plane.

Quinn was teaching Robin how to fly because he was hurt and rapidly losing consciousness.

She grabbed the yoke and the plane shuddered.  Quinn told her, “Small corrections.  Small corrections”.

I thought, “That’s so true of many things in life”.  Come New Year’s, people will make many promises of change and are likely to fail because they took on too much at one time.

Changes in life are best handled with “small corrections”.  “One day at a time” strategy associated with AA works because it’s a “small correction”.

Diets fail over the long haul, but small changes such as portion sizes have very positive results.

This approach holds true for parenting, financial management, and other behaviors you want to change as well as achieving your educational or professional goals.

Small bites and small steps work.
